Our Story
Built in the Riverina.
Milcast has been part of the Riverina's irrigation infrastructure for years. We started out as Murray Irrigation's own precast concrete operation, built to keep the region's farms and channels running. In 2020, the business moved to new ownership on one condition: Milcast's jobs and operations stayed right here in Finley. That commitment held. Murray Irrigation is still one of our customers today.
What sets us apart is simple: most precasters in this space run high-volume, off-the-shelf production. We do that too — but bespoke engineered pits and flumes are our specialty, not a sideline. Where mass precasters push you toward whatever's already in the mould, our team designs and engineers structures around your site, your flow requirements, and your specific constraints — custom block-outs, bung placement, screw-lift doors, pipe brand selection, non-standard dimensions. If the standard catalogue doesn't fit the job, we build the one that does.
What We Make
Precast concrete built for water-control infrastructure
We design, manufacture, and supply precast concrete products for agricultural and commercial water-control infrastructure — headwalls, culvert ends, pits and risers, bay outlets, rice flumes, drop boxes, channel checks, and bunker wall slabs.
Every product is a one-piece pour, made in a factory-controlled environment, and built to handle decades of weather and constant use without construction joints to fail.
We work with individual landholders putting in a single pit, right through to major civil contractors like GMW and John Holland running large-scale infrastructure projects — all of them get the same engineering attention, whether the order is one custom flume or a bulk run.
